Staying young - Pilates for active ageing

Taube Pilates offers Pilates sessions for people over 50’s. These are friendly and accessible Pilates sessions that incorporate the principles of Pilates and use a variety of the equipment from the Caddie to the Pilates reformer to build bone density, improve balance, increase muscle tone and keep you mobile as well as strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. Pilates can also assist with joint mobility, combating arthritis, hip pain, lower back pain and foot pain as well as improving mobility, hip mobility and posture.

Pilates for Active Ageing is for people who want to stay active, independent and living life to the full. Your sessions will encompass a wide variety of exercises geared to improving overall functional capacity. Posture, balance, body mechanics, fall prevention and gait training will be included.

Working on the Pilates Trap Table is a wonderful way for individuals with some physical limitations to experience the relaxation, improved flexibility, muscle tone, balance and coordination that Pilates can offer. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety, proper form and breathing. Modifications will be given to help you find your strength inside and out.



Pilates exercises are combined in a well sequenced manner to improve overall health, fitness & functional capacity. Modifications are always given for individuals of all fitness levels as well as those with medical limitations. Safety, proper form and breathing are always emphasised.
