At Taube Pilates we use the term bespoke to describe the tailored and personalised approached we deliver for each client. While we offer bespoke services, it is important to emphasise that we are not a factory pilates studio and sessions will reflect carefully selected exercises.

  • What is the difference between Clinical Pilates, Classical Pilates, and Contemporary Pilates?"
Clinical Pilates is more catering towards rehabilitation for injuries and ailments such as lower back, hip and knee pain, neck and shoulder pain, or for recovery from surgery such as spinal surgery, breast cancer recovery, hip or knee replacements. Classical Pilates is the more traditional form of the exercises, so sessions are more challenging as the repertoire was developed by Joseph Pilates who worked with dancers, gymnists, and younger clients at the time. Contemporary Pilates takes a more modern approach and modifies the traditional Pilates exercises and plays with creating many new variations of the exercises for your continued delight and enjoyment. I teach all three here and will somtime mix all three styles in one session! It is fun!
  • What is Pelvic Floor Friendly exercise?
Pelvic Floor Friendly exercise keeps intra-abdominal pressure to a minimum. This is important for pregnancy, women who have just delivered a baby, women going through menopause and post menopausal women, as well as anyone with pelvic floor issues such as prolapse, stress incontenience, or men who have recently had prostate surgery. As I specilise in women's issues, I can create a program for you that is Pelvic Floor Friendly. I can also incorporate pelvic floor exercises into your program.
